550 Rondastakk

The name comes from the stripes in the fabric, "randåt" in dialect. Rondastakk has been used in Gudbrandsdalen since the first half of the 19th century. The striped stack is most often used with check webbing, but over the years has been used with both plain and patterned webbing made of silk and damask. This is a product type with long traditions, also in Norway. Many strips are probably composed by "using what you have available" from leftover yarn.
